The European Solidarity Corps
The European Solidarity Corps programme allows youths between the ages of 18 and 30 to volunteer in other countries. Volunteering is the main activity of the programme, but it is also possible to apply to an internship or job in Europe, or even finance a solidarity project within your local community. The age limit has been extended to 35 for volunteers in humanitarian aid.
Solidarity is a common value of the European society. The programme offers young people the opportunity to express their commitment to communities while gaining experience and skills useful for their personal, educational, social, civic and professional development, thus strengthening their employability.
Associations, local authorities, private sector companies… the European Solidarity Corps offers financial and structural support to welcome young Europeans in response to your societal challenges in a wide range of areas : the integration of migrants, environmental challenges, preventing natural disasters, education and youth activities, etc.
THE BUDGET
The European Solidarity Corps has a financial envelope of more than one billion euro for the 2021-2027 period. This envelope was voted in on December 11, 2020 by the Parliament and the European Council.
